About the Sponsors | |||||||
The competition is sponsored and run by not for profit organisation Alupro (Aluminium Packaging Recycling Organisation) in order to encourage the recycling of aluminium drinks cans, empty aerosols and clean foil as one of the best things everyone can do to look after the environment. Remember, recycling aluminium is 20 times more energy efficient than making it from the raw material bauxite - and because of the tree planting programme in Malawi, the more you recycle the more fruit trees will be grown, with 250,000 trees already planted. Trinity Mirror newspapers are supporting the competition in more than 30 regional daily and weekly newspapers, and may contact you to ask if they can use YOUR picture. The schools competition is kindly sponsored by J&G Environmental, the Dorset-based company which specialises in the handling and recycling of waste from thousands of printing companies across the UK. Valuable aluminium lithographic printing plates are recycled after use, and used over and over again. |
