The competition is all about loving the place where you live, so we have split the British Isles into Scotland, Wales, Ireland and three English regions: north, central and south.

The top five pictures in each of the two categories, in each of the six areas, will be displayed at the Birmingham Botanical Gardens exhibition in April 2010, and judged by our panel of experts.

School competition prizes

Photographic or national garden vouchers totalling £1,000 will be awarded to the best pictures submitted.
